The Team
Who We Are

Mike Barrett
Owner & Operating Partner of Barrett's Alehouse
Since 2002, Mike Barrett has been the driving force behind Barrett’s Alehouse—back when it was still known as North Key West. What started as a single location has grown into a beloved local brand, and none of it would have been possible without Mike’s relentless work ethic, vision, and leadership.
Mike is the heart and soul of the operation. He’s not just the owner—he’s hands-on, fully immersed in the day-to-day, and often the first one through the doors before sunrise (yes, sometimes as early as 4 a.m.). From planning and problem-solving to pitching in wherever needed, he leads by example and sets the tone for the entire team.
His passion for the business and commitment to excellence are unmatched, and it’s no surprise that he’s earned the reputation of being one of the best bosses around.
We’re proud to have Mike at the helm—and grateful for everything he continues to pour into the Barrett’s family.
Emily Nunes
Co Founder
Emily is an essential part of Barrett’s and the Rainy Day Foundation. Raised in the heart of the family business, she inherited a strong sense of purpose and dedication that she carries with her today. While her role has evolved over the years, Emily continues to make an impact not only in the business but also now as a proud mom of three and a Bridgewater local. You’ll often find her cheering on her kids, working at Barrett’s or simply catching up with all the familiar faces she has met over the years. Each year, she pours her heart into organizing the Bridgewater Open, our largest fundraiser for the Rainy day, without which we would not be able to give back to the community. She co-organizes Operation Holiday every year which consists of shopping for and donating to families in need during the holiday season keeping the joy alive for all. The only thing that might be bigger than Emilys heart is her loud & contagious laughter that you can hear across the restaurants.

Bobbi Lu Holmgren
Co Founder
Bobbi’s our jack-of-all-trades. From helping behind the bar, running food, setting up events or even fixing our service terminals she is always on the move. She has a caring heart, a strong work ethic and an even greater love for her cats, Boo and Comet. With roots in Brockton and connections that stretch from West Bridgewater to Fall River, Bobbi’s a familiar, friendly face to countless restaurant guests. Come Christmas, she’s in full Operation Holiday mode, shopping, wrapping, putting in the work with the Rainy Day Foundation to make sure no kid’s name gets left off the list, working with our local communities to spread holiday magic to more families every year.
Our
Mission
The Barrett’s Rainy Day Foundation was created to help us make the biggest possible impact in the communities we love and call home. Our goal is to be a true umbrella of care for those who need it most — giving back to the towns that have supported us over the years, and bringing hope and sunshine through even the darkest storms.
